The Video Transcript:

Amanda Brocket:

The thing that really inspires me more than anything in this world is being in nature. Getting my bare feet in the sand, having an ocean swim, being in awe of the beauty of this planet, really inspires me and motivates me to come back and be a more conscious person.

I was very sick for a long time, I had a condition called systemic Candida and I could never get well and that’s when I discovered raw foods, within two months of going a hundred percent raw I had healed myself of systemic candida and to be able to do that after five years of living hell was just a huge light bulb moment for me and that’s when The Raw Food Kitchen was born.

One of the main motivators for The Raw Food Kitchen is to educate and inspire people to go raw. When people come to our workshop we help demystify raw food for people and people can then see how easy it is to actually make raw foods and they don’t need a lot of fancy equipment. Everyone leaves inspired to start their own raw journey at home.

Raw foods really benefit people who kind of feel like they’re not a hundred percent healthy, you know they’re low on energy, they’re not sleeping well, they’ve got food cravings, they’ve got food intolerance's.

Raw Food Enthusiast 1:

I had issues with IBS and a lot of problems when I was younger that plagued me through my twenties particularly with going out and drinking.

Raw Food Enthusiast 2:

Raw Food has always been something special to me.

Raw Food Enthusiast 3:

It’s just fun, it’s just a good thing to do.

Raw Food Enthusiast 3:

I’ve never been much of a cook so this is perfect for me because I don’t have to cook anything.

Raw Food Enthusiast 4:

I think you can actually feel the cleanliness in your body. It’s a clean food and you just benefit from it so much.

Raw Food Enthusiast 2:

It just clears you out and it gives you such a good feeling.

Amanda Brocket:

So what we’ve got in there are some sunflower seeds and some walnut seeds which have been soaked as well. The first thing most people experience is weight loss. And there’s clearer skin. People have better sleep, better moods, better libido which is always a bonus. No PMS which is a bonus for women as well. You have this clarity of mind and that energy that, you have the energy to have a really full on day at work and then come home and run around with the kids or do a gym session and have this beautiful sleep and wake up and feel refreshed and it gives you so much energy, it gives you happiness. I’m getting goose bumps talking about it. And the best bi-product of going raw is that you can still eat desert and lose weight. How good is that.

Raw Food Enthusiast 2:

Amanda has such a great approach to taking the class, she’s so friendly and everything was so easy to follow.

Raw Food Enthusiast 1:

She makes things easier than what you think they are.

Raw Food Enthusiast 5:

Like she’s a friend even though we’ve just met her.

Raw Food Enthusiast 1:

I’m really excited, it’s kind of really nice to be here and be with other people who are like-minded, that does make it feel like a close nit community.

Raw Food Enthusiast 3:

It’s a journey for all of us that we’re all taking together.

Raw Food Enthusiast 1:

Hopefully it’s one of those things that will start healing everything including ourselves, which is good, I’m a big believer in that.

Amanda Brocket:

My vision is to just spread the raw love as far and wide as possible, to get pop to come into the workshops and do some programs with us and then sharing their love of raw with everyone as well.
