The Chinese New Year is the most important holiday on the Chinese calendar, with deep spiritual meaning and significance. Celebrated by one fifth of the worlds population and lasting around 15- days, cleaning the home, displaying decorations, shopping, fireworks and planning for the coming year are essential components.

Family reunion is central to the celebration, which includes cooking and eating traditional cuisine. This is why our video production in Sydney with Philips and Award Winning Chinese Chef Chen Ye Chun couldn't have come at a better time of year.

Taking the hassle out of preparing gourmet Chinese food, Shakespeare Media collaborated with the Epoch Times to create a series of web videos showcasing three of Philips latest cooking appliances: The Airfryer, the Noodle Maker and the Grain Master.

Filmed over 12-hours in a Sylvania Waters studio kitchen, our web video production included filming 3x promotional videos and 3x cooking demonstration videos. Spoken in Mandarin and presented by Christina Xu, International Chef Chen Ye Chun effortlessly walked us through how to operate the machines and cook some of his favorite dishes.

With a 10-man crew on set to assist with lighting, set design, props, camera work, sound and talent direction the production was a full success, the dishes were simple but absolutely delicious and the production goes live just in time for the Chinese New Year!

Three Ways to Say "Happy Chinese New Year" in Chinese:
